Personality

[Stern]
When things need to get done, she will try her absolute hardest for the tasks to be completed with as little fooling around as possible. If Grace finds you lazing around when you've been told to do something, you'd better prepare yourself for a good tongue-lashing. Also, watch your back, she won't hesitate to fire a fireball or two at you until you get back to work. Laziness is not tolerated if there's work to be done.

[Sociable]
When all the kingdom tasks have been completed Grace likes nothing better than to kick-back with her fellow mountain dragons. She prefers not to think of herself as a high status dragon but more of an equal to the rest of the kingdom and she's never one to turn down a race so she can show off her flying skills, not that they're much better than the other dragon's flying techniques.

[Hopeless Romantic]
Oh Grace, she tries but she's god-awful at this flirting business. Although if she likes you, she'll keep it a secret that only will know about and other dragons will have no idea until she says it herself. She is, however, quite picky about the males she likes. Only the perfect male sill suit her liking and once she's found that one, you can bet she'll soon fall deeply on love.

[Territorial]
Grace is EXTREMELY protective of her kingdom. Whenever there's the slightest rumour of an invasion she'll be on high alert for days on end until she's sure there's no danger. Because of this she often accompanies other dragons who are patrolling the sky or the ground. She'll do anything to make sure her precious home isn't destroyed by those other dragons across the waters.

[Staid]
Grace doesn't like change at all. Once she's settled down into one way of thinking and living, if something around her changes she gets very uncomfortable, nervous and a bit angry. If something happens unexpectedly that doesn't fit into her plans she will try to avoid it instead of going along with it, unless it is an unexpected rival in which case she has no problem with dealing with them to put them in their place and to make sure they don't upset the balance again.

[Cold]
When important matters need to be taken care of, and when meeting with dragons outside of Cautes, Grace tends to be fairly unfeeling and gives others the cold shoulder. If there are tasks to be done, it would be in your best interest do get them done asap before taking part in any fun activities if Grace has anything to do with it. In this state she can be seen as almost cruel depending on the extent to her actions, but if it benefits her and her kingdom she won't care what happens to others.

Back Story

Grace has always been in the kingdoms, ever since she hatched from her little grey-blue egg. Cautes Kingdom and the surrounding islands is all she's ever known, you could call her a 'native'. Her parents were former Warriors of Cautes, her mother being one of the strongest dragons in the kingdom and a major inspiration and hero to Grace. When Grace was a hatchling she would travel to the coliseum with her father to watch her mother fight other warriors of rival kingdoms. She would won every single battle she was in! She was certainly a force to be reckoned with. However, during one of her what seemed like 'routine' fights she was registered to battle with a new comer to the coliseum scene, a huge male dragon almost twice the size of Graces mother. She didn't stand a chance against that monster. The battle soon ended with her mother sustaining deep wounds which soon became infected, she didn't survive the next week. Grace was devastated. She had lost her role-model. She had lost her mother. She had only her father to rely on, but despite his physical strength it turned out he wasn't emotionally stable. Not even a week after her mothers death, her father fled the kingdoms to somewhere unknown to Grace. She was alone.

However, in some ways loosing her parents was a blessing in disguise. While her parents where around Grace never really interacted with the other dragons her age, she clung to her parents 24/7, but now that they were gone she needed to find others to rely on. She soon became integrated into the more sociable side of the kingdom and made many new friends, some days she didn't even care she was missing parents! The friends she made and the other adults in the kingdom were all she ever needed really.

When she became of age she decided to follow in her parents footsteps and become a Warrior, and maybe one day she could become as great a Warrior as her mother before her. To her surprise the mentor assigned to her was the Sovereign at the time. She couldn't believe it! The Sovereign teaching her? She was over-the-moon but terrified at the same time. What if she were to do something wrong? Would they kick her out? She was over reacting of course. Over the years she became almost best friends with her mentor and was eventually awarded for her triumphs in her fighting skills and the style she developed, she became Deputy to Cautes Kingdom.

As Deputy she was assigned an apprentice by the Sovereign at the time. Quinn showed promise even from day one; ambitious, strong-willed, not afraid to go out of his comfort zone. Quinn may not have been the strongest of dragons but that didn't matter to her, his intellect made him able to overcome the hurdles he faced during training and the techniques he developed where sort of inspiring, he even taught Grace a few things. He seemed like the perfect apprentice and the two soon became inseparable as the best of friends. Over time he became a sort of younger brother to Grace.

In the following months, the Sovereign became very sick and passed away peacefully in the dead of night. Grace was devastated, he had become like a father to her after her parents left her. She didn't know what to do with herself. Having all this sudden pressure of running a Kingdom really hit her hard and for weeks after she hid away in her cave trying to work her way around current events and barely showing her face to the public. The only contact she had was with her newly appointed Deputy, who of course was her old apprentice, Quinn. Soon though she adapted to her new life as Sovereign and aimed to keep Cautes afloat and become an even greater power than before.
